Photo of the Day: February 22, 2022
I’ve always loved the potential of this shot. Sidelight at sunrise. Reflective when calm. A balance of urban environment and natural world. I think there is a spectacular frame just waiting at this location.
What I don’t like is everything about getting there and capturing it. I don’t care for the metered parking. I feel like an ass clown photographing the scene with my expensive gear while some dude sleeps on a freezing bench behind me. The traffic getting out of Georgetown. It’s all enough to make me miss the forest and the creative peace I can find there. I’m just not an urban guy. This is a shot that someone else will have to perfect.
