My first official publishing opportunity for commission, this was a really exciting opportunity. Our State Magazine utilized a photograph of light beaming through clouds and reflecting into the Pamlico Sound marshes in coastal North Carolina for the feature image of the magazine’s feature story. And it was a weighty story in my opinion. A collection of essays written by community leaders about the future and direction of North Carolina in a storytelling narrative, the article was translated into a special webpage on its own for readers to interact with.
